Interested in On-Campus Research Opportunities?

Research is happening all over campus but many students do not know how to get involved. The easiest way is to simply talk to your instructors. Don't wait for professors to come to you or for positions to be posted. Let your instructors (and graduate assistants) know that you are interested in getting some hands-on experience doing research. You can also set up an appointment at OSR to discuss your interests and we will help you get started.

  • ISU Jobs

Some campus research opportunities are paid student work positions available on the ISU Jobs site.

  • Innovation Consulting Community

Based in the College of Business and open to students across campus, Illinois State Innovation Consulting Community provides students with learning experiences guided by project mentors. This is an opportunity to further develop a creative mindset and strategically propose solutions to problems.

  • Intercollegiate Biomathematics Alliance

Cross-Institutional Undergraduate Research Experience: A workshop where students and faculty mentors gather at an all-expenses-paid weekend to experience the process of conducting research in mathematical biology.

  • Honors Undergraduate Research

Open to honors students. The Honors Undergraduate Research courses offer students credit through participating in an ongoing faculty research project.
