Once your project is complete, share your results! The following events are opportunities for presenting your research both at Illinois State and beyond.
The Illinois State University Research Symposium is held each spring and offers an exciting opportunity for enrolled Illinois State graduate and undergraduate students to present their research to a large audience in a professional setting. Poster sessions will be in the Brown Ballroom of the Bone Student Center with oral presentations at various locations around campus.
All students enrolled at the university and engaged in faculty-mentored research are eligible to register between December 1, 2019 and February 7, 2020.
The National Conference on Undergraduate Research is an annual conference for students dedicated to promoting research in all fields of study. This national conference is hosted by a different university each year, where thousands of students present their projects.
Posters on the Hill
Each Spring the Council on Undergraduate Research hosts an annual undergraduate poster session on Capitol Hill. This event helps members of Congress understand the importance of undergraduate research by talking directly with the students whom these programs impact.
Application deadlines are announced each year in the summer and generally are due between mid-October and mid-November.
